For more than a century, HopeHealth has provided high quality, compassionate care to people in various stages of illness to communities in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Its roots began in home care in 1908 and then in hospice in 1976, coming together as HopeHealth in 2011 providing home care, palliative care and hospice care.
As the second oldest hospice in the country and one of the largest not-for-profit providers of palliative and hospice care in New England, HopeHealth has set the gold standard in serious illness and end-of-life care.
HopeHealth is the major teaching affiliate for hospice and palliative care of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
In September 2021 HopeHealth affiliated with Community VNA of Attleboro MA, effectively doubling their home health census to approximately 900.

The Position
The Vice President, Clinical Excellence and Patient Experience is a key strategic position responsible for the design, implementation and leadership of HopeHealth’s quality, education and compliance teams at HopeHealth.
Working in close collaboration with clinical operations, the VP of CE & PE is responsible for leading, implementing and managing HopeHealth’s programs focusing on improving clinical outcomes, staff engagement and patient and family experience.
Working at the direction of the COO, and in close collaboration with clinical operations senior leaders, the VP will drive performance improvement activities for home health, palliative care and hospice in response to organizational goals.
The VP serves as a member of the HH Senior Leadership Team as the key resource in pursuit of excellent and compliant organizational performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vice President is responsible overseeing the HopeHealth quality program through strategic, innovative and collaborative leadership focused on continuous improvement
This position promotes alignment across HopeHealth’s service lines through shared quality goals, improvement strategies and best practice collaboratives
The Vice President is responsible for partnering with key operational leaders to develop and achieve the HH strategic and operational quality goals and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Provide Quality leadership and subject matter expertise (SME) in Home Care, Palliative Care and Hospice Quality Improvement and Regulatory Affairs as part of the Senior Leadership Team
Drive the development of a “Quality Culture” within the organization, starting with the leadership team and cascading through the organization
Responsible for oversight of performance measurements and analytics, internal reporting, policies and procedures, quality of care concerns tracking, accreditation preparation, coordination of satisfaction surveys, integration of quality improvement processes and compliance monitoring oversight
The Vice President oversees the reporting and analysis of clinical quality, outcomes and patient experience in relation to reimbursement and public reporting programs
Oversees performance improvement action plans to address publicly reported measures with lagging outcomes.
Provides education, reporting and support to clinical managers to drive performance projects which promote patient outcome measures
Primary location Attleboro, MA, with some local travel to Lincoln and Providence, RI required
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
BSN required, MSN preferred
2 to 5 years performance improvement experience with working knowledge of quality improvement processes, performance measurement and data reporting applications strongly preferred
5+ years previous hospice/home health or palliative leadership experience.
Dynamic personality able to develop consensus and drive change
Possesses strong organizational and time management skills; possesses the ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Joint Commission survey preferred.
Experience in quality improvement and compliance in a health care setting preferred
