Competitive Intelligence Strategist

Our forward-thinking Competitive Intelligence team within Corporate Marketing is charged with developing and implementing strategic marketing plans and objectives.
Using market and competitor information and cutting edge analysis, we identify trends to evaluate new business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, alliances or joint ventures.
We also develop partnerships with key customers.

What you’ll achieve
As a Competitive Intelligence Strategist, you will be in a highly visible and impactful role supporting the Storage & Converged lines of business which incorporate multiple product lines and customer outcomes.
You will work closely with Sales leaders, their teams, and our Partner ecosystem to enable them with the competitive knowledge, tools, and expertise needed to expand our share in the Data Protection market.
Additionally, you will work cross-functionally, with Product Marketing and other teams, to develop competitive messaging and positioning that will be used by Sales, Marketing, and other groups in Dell Technologies.
Understand the competitors go to market strategies, technical capabilities, and messaging
Coordinate all competitive intelligence activities related to Data Protection across the competitive intelligence team, as well as being the primary competitive interface to Sales and Pre-Sales teams globally
Work closely with our Competitive Intelligence data protection SMEs in assisting to create competitive assets such as battle cards, training modules, field flashes, blogs, social media content, customer-facing documents, internal communications, and more, to articulate our competitive positioning, messaging, and product strategy
Develop and deliver sales enablement material to help improve overall sales effectiveness and performance

Here’s what we are looking for with this role:
Strong technology background across the industry as a whole, but more specifically around Storage and HCI use cases.
Ability to study the market, market trends, and competitors and develop a competitive sales messaging and GTM strategy to best position Dell Technologies
Effective communicator and presenter, ability to simplify and communicate very complex topics/ideas
8+ years of Sales, Pre-Sales, Technology Evangelist, CTO or relevant go-to-market strategy experience, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Ability to structure and manage complex cross-functional projects and processes with multiple stakeholders
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization including the executive management team as well as external customers and partners
Ability to articulate the value of our offerings compared to the competition
